There’s no denying that Selena Gomez is looking mighty fine these days. She owes her bangin’ figure to personal fitness expert Amy Rosoff Davis, who has being working with the singer on her diet and training over the past year.
In an interview with Elle UK, Amy shares the training approach she took with Selena, so when you’re ready to work, you can come and get it, na na na na.
Umm, are you not already loving this training method already? “I don't believe in scales — I just don't think it's healthy,” says Amy, explaining to Elle UK that you can track progress by looking at someone’s body.
We like this Amy chick a lot. Just when we thought we couldn’t like her any more, she bans dieting. Does that mean we can eat all the nuggets? “I don't believe in denying yourself, but I also believe in moderation. Life is too short not to enjoy food,” says Amy. I guess that means 6-pack, not a 20-pack of nuggets.
DON’T LET YOURSELF GET BORED
Mix up your exercise routine the minute your mind and your body starts to get bored. “I've always believed the best way to keep your muscles active is to mix it up. We switch things up almost every day,” says Amy, who uses the example of hiking with Selena’s squad as an example of how to make exercise exciting again.
NOURISH THE BODY & SOUL
Stay with us, we’re not going to go all hippie on you. The body side of this is all about looking good and feeling good because “when you feel good, you exude confidence, and you feel strong and healthy,” says Amy. And the soul part is all about going outside, taking a breather, and to go all Coleridge on you, being at one with nature.
