Five 9-5 Outfits to Help You Ace That Internship
Whether you’re about to embark on your placement year or you’re doing a summer internship, we know that one of the most worrying parts of starting is “what on earth am I going to wear?!” *picks up sushi jumper and cries*
Well, don’t fear. We’re here for you. We’ve gone and picked out five 9-5 outfits to give you a bit of office style inspo.
There's nothing better than a sleek monochrome outfit. You pretty much can't go wrong, plus you don't need to worry about matching in your morning rush which means more time for sleeping and that can only be a good thing 😴
We're in love with dungaree dresses at the moment and layering them on top of stripy tops. Whack on a pair of Oxfords with some frilly socks and you've got yourself a pretty darn sweet outfit for your first day of pretending to be a grown up.
Mules are everywhere right now and we are head over heels with these leopard print ones. This outfit adds a modern twist to this classic workwear look with these animal print mules, cropped leg khaki trousers and frilly shirt.
Finish this outfit off with a sweep of mauve lipstick which is aptly named Boardroom. So, go kick some business ass or something.
Yeah, I know. On Wednesdays we wear pink, but seriously who the hell likes wearing pink? We reckon Wednesday is all about blue.
This is a great outfit for a more dressed up casual office look. The shirt isn't too dressy, but the heels are fierce. Perfect for a more summery office vibe.
CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW THURSDAY
Again with the mules. Sorry, but they're just too good. We need one in every colour.
These wide leg pinstripe trousers paired with this casual lightweight shirt is great for summer. It's easy, it's breezy and will hopefully keep you cool on that one day of the year when it's really hot and no buildings in the UK have air-con and you want to die.
DRESS DOWN FRIDAY
Casual Fridays. Our favourite day of the week.
How adorable are these shoes? Seriously.
We reckon it's best to stay in line with the usual office dress code on casual Fridays, you know just in case it's not actually that casual and you're wearing pyjamas. Choose something simple like a black t-shirt dress and combine with accessories to give it some more personality.
