HP Spectre: The Beautiful Laptop That’s More Than Just A Pretty Face
This week I’ve been testing out the HP Spectre to see if this sleek looking laptop is more than just a pretty face.
If you’re anything like me you’ll see this laptop and think it’s really thin (13.9mm) and it flips around into a tablet… There must be some compromises to quality here. I have to say this laptop impresses. It seems to be the only laptop to tablet style product with no sacrifices when it comes to specs.
The keyboard is roomy and comfortable to use, but my favourite part of this laptop is the touchpad. Usually I’m not a fan of laptops with a touchpad and no buttons, but this touchpad is SOOO very satisfying to use. Clicking using the touchpad is very smooth and it actually clicks unlike a lot of touchpads that just allow you to tap (which causes way more problems than it’s worth for me aka. Liking everything on FB by accident 🙈).
The flip around screen feature is really useful for switching from essay writing into Netflix mode, whilst the tablet setting is perfect for when you’re just chilling in bed scrolling. The stylus also works really well on the touch screen, but fingers work just as well too if you forget the stylus somewhere.
It comes in 13" or 15" so you can take your pick of whichever size you fancy. This laptop is also light as a feather weighing in at a teeny 1.32kg.
In terms of power, the HP Spectre packs a punch. With this nifty little laptop you get a full-travel keyboard, ridiculously thin body, whilst also boasting Core i5 or Core i7 power. Sounds pretty good, right? Yeah. The battery life isn’t half bad either.
The screen is bright, clear and comes in at a sleek 13.3 inches. Speaking of sleek, have you seen this laptop? It’s beautiful. The rose gold finishes and minimalist design are super smooth. Plus, Spectre made me feel a bit like James Bond too, which is always fun.
Overall, this laptop is great for getting your uni work done and also having a little fun on the side. It’s thin, it’s sleek, and it doesn’t let you down when it comes to power.
