Review: The Great Gatsby Theatre 🍸
“In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.” 🍸✨
Prepare to be razzled, dazzled, and transported all the way back to the roaring '20s. We're talking jazz, a lil dancing, and flowing champagne at a party only the hopeless romantic Gatsby could throw.
The Great Gatsby is an engaging and immersive piece of theatre that makes for an unforgettable evening. 1920s fancy dress is encouraged (seriously, you should totally go wild with this because everyone is dressed to the nines) and you'd better don your dancing shoes too because you will be partying with the best.
The Student Beans team had a fabulous night at this amazing show. The best part was that you got different snippets and sides to the story depending on where abouts you were in the venue. In one room you might be helping Daisy pick a dress for the party, whilst in another room you could be getting some top tips from the main man himself.
The set design was fantastic and the costumes were great, so it felt really immersive being all dressed up and part of the play/party. This show offers Gatsby lovers in London the chance to surround themselves in the story for a good old-fashioned knees-up while watching scandals unfold all around them.
The good news? We've got tickets from £25 for this fabulous show for students! The bad news? You're gonna have to buy a new outfit. 👯
