The World's Easiest Chocolate Mousse Recipe 🍫

The World's Easiest Chocolate Mousse Recipe 🍫

So, apparently there’s a day for everything now. Not that we’re complaining 👀 especially when that means we get to eat delicious chocolatey goodness. 🍫

That’s right, today is Chocolate Pudding Day, and we’re pretty god damn chuffed because it means we get to whiz up one of our favourite recipes from our cookbook! The world’s easiest chocolate mousse. Follow our recipe and celebrate one of the best days of the year. 😂

Serves 4
15 min prep time

  • 400ml water

  • 400g dark chocolate, anything over 70%

  • Handful of hazelnuts, chopped to serve

  1. Bring 300ml of the water to boil in a small saucepan

  2. Whilst the liquid is heating, break the chocolate into small pieces and place into medium heatproof bowl. Tip a good handful of ice cubes into a slightly larger bowl and pour in the other 100ml water

  3. When the water is boiling, pour it over the broken dark chocolate and whisk slowly until the chocolate has totally melted into the water

  4. When you’re happy that the chocolate and water are fully incorporated, place the chocolate filled bowl into the larger one holding the ice and water

  5. Now whisk and slowly but surely, you will feel the chocolate stiffening as you go. Keep whisking until you reach the consistency of chocolate mousse

  6. Spoon the mix into 4 bowls or mugs and sprinkle with hazelnuts. Serve immediately
