Students Could Save An Extra £264 Every Year Without Even Trying 🙌
Our new study revealed that students collectively across the country could be losing as much as £617.7m every single year because they’re not using discount codes or websites.
We found out that students on average go shopping about three times a month, spending around £55 every time they whack out their debit card, yet will only use one discount code! What?!
That means a huge £165 across the three shopping sprees a month. Which is a big number considering student discounts are available on hundreds of brands across the country for students to save money every time they shop.
Students in the following five regions were found to be spending the most each time:
South East - £68
London - £66
Yorkshire and Humberside - £65
Wales - £64
South West - £61
If students were to find a 20% discount at the stores they’re shopping in they could save as much as £264 annually, which is pretty mad. That’s like 1056 Freddos.
So, get searching next time you’re shopping. Whether you’re using the Student Beans app or simply googling to see if there are codes available for you - you should be checking where you can make savings every time you splash the cash. Just THINK of the Freddos. 🙌
