After 22 Years Ash Ketchum Has Finally Become A Pokemon League Champion
He’s done it. He’s won. Ash Ketchum is finally the very best, like no one ever was.
After 22 years, in the 139th episode of the Pokémon Sun and Moon anime, Ash has FINALLY won a Pokémon League Champion. He is now officially a Pokémon Master. Congrats, Ash!
We have to hand it to him, that is some true determination, we weren’t quite expecting it to take this long.
For most of us, watching Ash try and try and try again was pretty much our entire childhood. So, this feels like a wonderful moment to celebrate the now Pokémon Master for his victory! This was what the entire anime saga has led up to.
Ash started his mission to become the very best, in the Kanto Region at age 10, and completed it age 32(?!) in the Alola region… Although he somehow does still look max age 12.
Over the years, Ash has taught us never to give up on our dreams, no matter how many times we fail. And Twitter is blowing up with congratulations for our boy.
What’s next for the future of Pokémon now that Ash has finally achieved his goal? Well, there are rumours that we’ll be saying goodbye to our favourite Pokémon trainer and saying hello to a brand new storyline. It’ll be difficult to get used to, but we think that after 22 years of being 10, maybe it’s time to hang that hat up for good. You’ve done it, Ash. Well done!
