Everything You Need To Know About 'The Great British Bake Off' 2019
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on August 27 with judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith back in the tent.
Get ready for some more soggy bottoms and never-ending baking innuendos, because GBBO is back next week.
Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will also be returning to the tent with a brand new set of amateur bakers including a teacher, a vet and a fashion designer. This year is the youngest tent of bakers ever, with only one contestant over the age of 50.
IS THERE A TRAILER?
Here you go! Channel 4 knows how to do a wild and wacky trailer. I think this is a big step up from the quite frankly creepy as heck singing cakes and vomiting buns from last year, right?
WHO ARE THE BAKERS?
Check out all the new bakers on the official Great British Bake Off Instagram page. Personally, I can’t wait to see what Amelia whips up in the tent, as apparently intricate decorations are her greatest passion.
WHEN DO THEY FILM IT?
All of GBBO is filmed in advance. Remember last year when Prue accidentally revealed the winner on Twitter before we all found out… Because we remember, Prue. We remember.
WHO WON GBBO 2018?
Dr Rahul Mandal was crowned the best baker last year! He’s pretty active over on Instagram and you can quite often find him bantering with Noel Fielding in the presenter’s Insta comments.
CAN WE HAVE SOME MORE?
YES, Jo Brand is back for The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice. Seeing as the new season starts on August 27, we can expect to see An Extra Slice back on the Friday that week!
And that is everything you need to know about The Great British Bake Off 2019! So, there’s only one thing left to do. Get ready, get set… BAKE! 🍰
