The Top 8 Things You Have To Do During Freshers' Week
Freshers’ Week is going to be awesome. Here are the top things you need to make sure you do during Freshers’.
Other than partying obviously.
There will be plenty of other things you should sign up for that your uni will make sure you know about. Most importantly, the doctors! It’s best to get this out the way, so you know it’s there if you should ever need it.
TRY SOMETHING NEW
Now is your opportunity to do something out your comfort zone! Join that society you are curious about, learn that new skill or go to that taster session.
GRAB ALL THE FREEBIES
Need we explain this one? They’re FREE. Attend all the Freshers' events that you can grab freebies at, that includes your Freshers’ Fair which will supply you with all the pens you need for a whole year. Plus, if you’re lucky we’ll be there with our Wheel of Fortune to give away some awesome prizes like free sausage rolls from Gregg’s and free Papa John’s pizza.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
Freshers’ Flu is real. Really real. Make sure you’re taking all the vitamins you need and trying your best to get a healthy balanced diet during the days. Stay hydrated and don’t overdo it on night’s out.
Seriously, as tempting as it might be, living out a suitcase is not advisable. Get unpacked as soon as you can, so you’re organised for when term officially begins.
Yeah, Freshers’ week is a super fun time, but you also do need to get ready for you know… learning. Make sure you have all your books ready and that you’ve taken a tour of the library to get to know the best spots.
Everyone is looking to make friends at the start of uni, so make sure you’re open to hanging out with people - especially your housemates! You’re going to be seeing a lot of them over the next year
EXPLORE YOUR LOCAL SURROUNDINGS
Get to know the area you’re living in. It’ll make life easier when you need to go to the shops, or the GP, or the dentist.
