You Can Spend The Night At The 'Most Haunted Prison In The UK'
Fancy yourself as a Ghostbuster? You can now spend a whole night in Britain’s most haunted prison.
It’s spooky season, guys. Well, close enough anyway. We’re already unpacking our winter wardrobe and drinking pumpkin spiced lattes, dunno about you.
Wanna get spooky? If you’re feeling brave you can now spend the night in the most haunted prison in Britain.
Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset is said to be riddled with ghosts and ghouls, with a number of ill-famed criminals calling the prison their home in the past. Most notably, the Kray Twins, the most feared gangsters and ringleaders of the East End's criminal underworld.
The prison shut down in 2013, but before held a number of executions before capital punishment was outlawed which is probably where it gets the reputation for the most haunted prison in Britain.
So, if you ain’t afraid of no ghost (sorry) Bump in the Night Paranormal UK give you the opportunity to stay there overnight. Tbh I’m good. I'd prefer to sleep in my own bed, thanks!
The website says:
“Cell doors are regularly heard opening and slamming shut for no reason. Footsteps are heard on the walkways and along the corridor. Ghostly figures are also seen moving around the prison in the dead of night."
You won’t have to eat any gruel though, thank goodness. The offer includes a ghost hunt, room in the castle, dinner voucher and hot breakfast. So, at least you know there’s some tasty food waiting for you on the other side once you’ve served your time.
